The idea for PIRATE Summit was born in 2010.

We wanted to create a conference we’d love to attend ourselves. To create the right atmosphere, we established five house rules:

Give Give Give Ask

These rules still govern every PIRATE event today. They say more about what we value than any mission statement.

We built PIRATE the same way - by asking what kind of workplace we’d actually love to work at. Values that feel right, are right everywhere. That is why our core values and our house rules are, at heart, the same thing.
